Heat 1/4 cup of coconut oil (You can use any other hair oil, but I recommend coconut oil because of its own beneficial properties. You could even use VCO if you like). Mix very little oil with 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder to get a paste. Add this paste to the hot oil and and stir it in well. allow the turmeric powder to steep in the oil until just warm.
Massage the oil, while still warm, onto your scalp. Wrap a hot towel around your head to allow the oil to penetrate into your scalp. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes (If possible, even overnight) and then shampoo off as usual.
Be careful not to over-shampoo your hair.

Thanks Susan. It does have a mild smell. But, tolerable. And it goes off one washed. The oil may smell stronger because it is concentrated. Never tried the oil though.
Another great post Kimberly, I'll be trying some of these. Do the neem leaves smell? I bought some neem oil and I threw it away because I really didn't like the smell.
