Self love isn’t selfish. Yet for some reason many people think it is. Self love has a positive impact not only on your mental and emotional health, but on your physical health as well. Best of all, it reduces stress!
We women are so used to taking care of others – husband, children, family, friends – that we often forget to take care of ourselves. The truth is, you cannot take good care of another if you are not up to your best. You have to learn to love yourself first, before you can love someone else.
On Women’s Day, I took the initiative of committing to taking better care of myself and practicing self love. And it was an enlightening and refreshing experience. Some of you wrote in to say thanks for doing something like this and it was great to hear how you benefited from this challenge.
Some of you wrote in to say how disappointed you were that you missed out!
Well, I would hate for my readers to be unhappy! And for that reason, I have decided to run the challenge again in June. So make sure to watch out for my emails, so that you don’t miss out on this challenge.
Seriously ladies, you just have to make time for yourselves. You cannot pour from an empty cup – I realized this after the challenge and I hope you will too!
I designed this challenge based on the 28 Day Challenge for Self Love by Pure Healthy Living. This challenge will get you into the daily habit of doing one good thing for yourself each and every day. As you go forward in the challenge, continue to do the tasks that you enjoyed most.
